What is Rose Day Co.?  

We have specialized in working only with non-profit organizations since 1973. We will provide you with the best quality at a fair price, thus helping you to maximize your fundraising efforts. We have worked with Rotary, Jaycees, Lions, Leo’s, Kiwanis, Key Clubs, Optimists, Churches, Boy Scouts, High Schools, Choir groups, bands, any kind of non-profit that needs to enhance their treasury. WE have NEVER had a fund raiser that didn’t make money from our product and service!

Where do the roses come from?

We work directly with growers in the US. Each rose is carefully grown inside a heated greenhouse that provides an optimum growing environment. Each rose is hand-harvested just when ready, and packaged in your dozen packages. This enables us to provide you with the freshest possible roses available on the market. They are then shipped directly to you in insulated cooled boxes via over-night Federal Express. We skip both the wholesalers and retailers by bringing the bouquets directly to you. This gives you a great price and the freshest roses available.

When can our club make the most money selling roses?

The first thought you may have is to sell roses a Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day. Almost, all the organizations that avoid those times have the best success. To achieve the highest sales per member, and generate the largest profits, we strongly recommend that you sell them at non-holiday times. There is intense competition for those holiday dollars e.g.: candy, perfume, restaurants, clothes etc. Most of our sales are March, April, May, June, Sept, Oct, Nov, and Dec. To prove my point – ask any woman when she would like to get a bouquet of roses. I’ll bet she will reply “anytime”
The Fall is increasing in popularity – especially around deer hunting season.

Our members don’t sell door to door or to strangers. How do we sell roses?

Bouquets are best sold by your members to people they know. Each member can buy at least 3 dozen: spouse, mother, mother in law, etc. Many members sell them at work, or social gatherings. Also, for clients / co-workers and people you deal with each day. They will all appreciate the gesture. This is truly a way to make a favorable impression. There are many avenues of sale to pursue. We’ll be happy to work with you, giving you ideas that other clubs have successfully used.

Order size

Size does matter! The larger you order the larger your profits! Our minimum order is 100 dozen- that will give your club $500 - $600. We’ve had several organizations over the years that have only 15 members sell way more than the minimum. DON”T let that number scare you! You’ll be amazed as to the results. An effective motivated chairman managing the project with a clear cut objective to raise funds for a specific reason can generate fantastic results! Most of our orders are in the few hundred dozen ranges. The largest Order we have filled was for 25,000 dozen. Imagine how that treasury was filled. We can do it!

What can Rose Day Co do for us?

  • We will send you a product that will have a vase life of at least 3 days. Many of our customers report 10 – 15 days of vase life.
  • We will help you thru the project stages. By you delivery day you will know how best to store the bouquets and deliver them. We both want happy customers – sure makes next year’s sales easier!
  • We supply you with delivery bags. These are sent to you prior to your delivery. They help insure that the roses are protected from the elements during the delivery process by your members.
  • We will provide you with product pictures to use as a sales aid.
  • We can provide you with a sales ticket format, which is designed to help track sales and provide a greeting from the buyer to the recipient.
  • We have been doing this since 1974. We know how it works!
